Team Peggy held the Tour De Signal July 7th, 2002 in Signal Mountain, TN. This annual ride is one of the team's largest fundraisers for the year. Fifty three riders came out to support Team Peggy and enjoy the warm day. Riders were treated to a 30 mile loop (done twice) atop Signal Mountain of mostly rolling terrain with 2 big climbs. The roads are virtually traffic free and well paved with scenic views of the Tennessee River Valley. Team Peggy members manned (womanned?) the rest stops and registration.
The ride started out with Team Peggy taking the lead. By the first hill, most of the Mr. Zip riders were also near the front of the peleton along with Peggy rider Linell Wright. Linell, one of Team Peggy's strongest Experts, would stay near the front for the entire ride. Other Peggy riders chose varying distances and paces, but a good time was had by all. The Mr. Zip team and one of the Krystal boys would battle it out for the first to finish the route.
