Decatur to Monastery
Start at Agnes Scott College
141 E College Ave (Between Candler and McDonough streets)
Decatur, GA 30030-3797
Head towards Avondale on College (cross Candler), RIGHT on Columbia
Stay on Columbia, cross over Memorial Drive, Glenwood, shortly after crossing
over 20 get in left turn lane
LEFT on Rainbow Drive, turns into Snapfinger when it crosses Wesley Church Road,
stay on for several miles, will pass Browns Mill Road, Panola Road, Fairview
Road
LEFT on Hwy 138, up a hill (not bad, short)
RIGHT on Union Church Road, stay on Union Church Road which curves to the left,
cross Fairview
LEFT on Oglesby Bridge
LEFT at light on Scott Highway, Hwy 212 (there is a gas station at this
intersection if you need food/drinks)
RIGHT into Monastery (can get water & bathrooms available, and then head back
out to Hwy 212)
Continue on Hwy 212, Cross Fairview (Publix on left)
RIGHT on Smyrna Road
LEFT at light still on Smyrna Road
LEFT at light on to Klondike stay on Klondike you will come to one
intersection (stop sign) McDaniel Mill, Klondike and Hurst Road all intersect
take the middle option which is Klondike!
Klondike turns into Goddard keep going straight great stretch of road!
RIGHT on Klondike pass Mt. Arabia, nature preserve, round about stay on
Klondike, you will ride under Highway 20, and Klondike ends at Main Street (in
Lithonia)
RIGHT on Main street
Quick LEFT on Max Cleland
At light, LEFT on Stone Mtn Lithonia (Wayside grocery is on your right)
There are some nasty RR tracks be careful. Keep going straight when you get to
the light (Deshon Road is on your right)
Veer RIGHT, go over tracks (not bad to cross) to stay on Stone Mtn Lithonia Road
Stone Mtn Lithonia Road will take you all the way into Stone Mtn lots of
options to get back to Agnes Scott
